Relaxation Massage Therapy

Relaxation massage techniques are the most common soft tissue manipulations employed through massage therapy. Relaxation massage is designed to relax the body and release muscle tension, and may help to improve circulation, flexibility, pain management, stress reduction, and injury rehabilitation.

Melissa graduated from MH Vicars 2200 hour massage therapy program July 2010. Melissa is focused on treating the body holistically which includes body, mind and Spirit. Along with being a Registered Massage Therapist with NHPC, she is also registered with CANNP as a Natural Nutrition Clinical Practitioner and uses her knowledge of these areas in her treatments. She has additional certifications in soft tissue release, Aaron Mattes’ Active Isolated Stretching, Cupping, Thai Yoga massage, athletic first aid, taping & strapping, and is a Personal Training Specialist. Melissa has an interest in sports injury & functional movement, sports performance, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, chronic pain & stress management, mental health and postural dysfunction related massage.

She lives in Spruce Grove & when she isn’t in the treatment room you can usually find her at the rink with her family, at the gym or running on the trails.
